First start — Windows: if SmartScreen warns, choose “More info → Run anyway”. macOS: unzip, move Pensieve to Applications, then System Settings → Privacy & Security → “Open Anyway” (the app is not notarized yet). Linux: chmod +x the AppImage, or sudo apt install ./Pensieve-*.deb. Settings → AI models: a key from DeepSeek, SiliconFlow, OpenAI, Qwen, Kimi, GLM or any OpenAI-compatible service. Keys stay encrypted on your computer.设置 → AI 模型：填入 DeepSeek、硅基流动、OpenAI、通义千问、Kimi、智谱或任意 OpenAI 兼容服务的密钥。密钥加密保存在你的电脑上。

Sign in on the web → your name (top right) → 账户信息 → 安全选项 → 第三方应用管理 → 添加应用密码. Name it Pensieve and click 生成密码. Copy the password it shows.网页登录坚果云 → 右上角账户名 →「账户信息」→「安全选项」→「第三方应用管理」→「添加应用密码」，名称填 Pensieve，点「生成密码」，复制显示的密码。

Pensieve → Settings → Sync → 坚果云同步. 坚果云账号: your Nutstore email. 第三方应用密码: the app password — not your login password. Keep the address and folder as they are, then click 保存并启用同步.Pensieve「设置 → 同步 → 坚果云同步」：「坚果云账号」填注册邮箱，「第三方应用密码」填刚生成的应用密码（不是登录密码）。地址和目录保持默认，点「保存并启用同步」。

Enter exactly the same email, app password and folder on the phone. Its notes are merged, never wiped. Wrong password (401)? You probably used the login password.在手机上填写完全相同的邮箱、应用密码和目录，原有笔记会合并，不会被清空。提示认证失败（401）？多半是填了登录密码。
